Service Agreement
Lifetime Lift and Dock (LLD) will use our years of experience to determine the best way to install, remove, and service your equipment. We are proud of the service we provide and appreciate our customers. Here are our terms and policies:
Dock and lift services will be performed after all ice is off the lake. Remaining ice can damage equipment and is unsafe for our dock crew. All fall removals will take place prior to November 1. Your lift and dock must be ready for removal on the week selected. If yours isn’t ready when we are on your lake, we will charge a service fee to come back and remove your equipment.
- You acknowledge that completion of our LLD Service form is a request for service. In very rare instances, LLD may deny service based on site survey or other information.
- LLD will install or remove the equipment as requested and bill for installation, removal, and any service work completed. Services provided will continue annually until canceled.
- LLD reserves the right to discontinue service to a customer for any reason. This may be due to the site, the equipment, late payments, or other issues.
- If a lift canopy is being removed, the boat must be on the lift. LLD is not liable for wind or storm damage if the boat is removed from the lift with the canopy left on.
- At times, LLD may replace or repair equipment without prior notification to maintain efficiency. The most common repair would be installing a new battery. Battery replacement is typically $150-$200 and the customer will be billed for this. This is only because if we have a crew in the water, your battery is dead, and we are unable to reach you on the phone, it would be cost prohibitive for us to bring the barge back to your lake. LLD will not exceed $300 of repairs or battery replacement without prior approval.
- Whether LLD has installed your equipment before or not, due to changes in water levels, equipment, staff, or ice damaged shoreline, it may not be installed exactly the same way each year. LLD will make their best effort to make sure the equipment is adjusted properly and is functional. Unless you have made a specific written request on this form regarding your preferences (e.g. “line up the dock with house and not sidewalk”) or notified LLD of changes to shoreline due to ice shifts, or any other scenario, return trips to make adjustments or changes will be subject to a trip charge and labor rate. This includes but is not limited to adjusting the dock / lift as water levels change, canopy fabric installation / removal, running or removing extension cords.
- From time to time, LLD may use photos of our installations in marketing materials. If you wish to have your property excluded from these situations please let us know.
- LLD takes great care to maintain the condition of your equipment. LLD will take responsibility for damages caused by LLD employees. Your boat or home owners insurance should specifically cover any damage that occurs while in storage on your property or at our location including but not limited to rodent damage, force of nature, fire, etc. Additionally, the nature of moving heavy equipment dictates that ‘normal wear and tear’ will occur. LLD is not responsible for costs or damages due to normal wear and tear.
- The Client will grant LLD access to the dock and/or lift during regular business hours Monday through Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and additional agreed upon times.
- LLD will provide all equipment and all supplies that are necessary to perform normal dock and/or lift services on the above-mentioned dock and/or lift, unless otherwise noted.
- A $50.00 fee will be assessed when a payment is late, if not received within three days of the scheduled payment date. No service will be performed until bill including late fee is received by LLD.
- Ratchet straps, when needed to secure boat lift may be provided by the owner or will be provided by LLD for a onetime fee of $50.00 per lift (please leave strap by shoreline the week scheduled for removal)
Either party may terminate this contract by a written notice. Termination of contract will not be valid until all unpaid debt and or late fees are paid.
